Executive Assistant to CEO

£50,000 - £65,000 + bonus


My client in their Canary Wharf offices are seeking an Executive Assistant for this new and exciting opportunity to provide 1:1 support to the CEO, and become an integral part of the CEO’s Office. This is fantastic opportunity for someone looking for busy, fast paced position with involvement in all aspects of the business and the opportunity to utilise your european language skills - German, French or Italian which would be an advantage. Hours are flexible to meet the business needs along with the opportunity to work from home on occassion.

Duties include

  • Extensive Diary and inbox management for the CEO, scheduling of internal and external meetings and conference calls
  • Booking global travel and preparing detailed itineraries, agendas and related documentation for both European and wider international travel, including organising any licences or visas, as required
  • Co-ordinating the governance calendar for Board and Executive Committee meetings with the Chief of Staff
  • Expenses management
  • Working closely with the in-house Events Department on the planning and execution of Board meetings and other events
  • Compilation, consolidation, formatting, proofreading and distribution of documents (Excel and Word formats)
  • Preparation of PowerPoint presentations
  • Provide support to CEO for personal/private work and travel, as required
  • General admin duties; greeting and welcoming guests, restaurant & car bookings and other ad hoc requests when required


  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively throughout all levels of the organisation
  • Ability to work effectively with people of different cultures and backgrounds and able to build internal and external relationships and deal credibly with them
  • Excellent diary management skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Confident working independently, dependable and reliable with the ability to use own initiative
  • Proactive with strong planning, organising and implementation skills
  • Calm demeanour, capable of working well under pressure and to deadlines
  • Professional, resilient and able to influence with a range of stakeholders
  • Results focused and enjoys working to a high standard
  • Good attention to detail
  • Proven team player with a collaborative approach
  • High degree of discretion and confidentiality required throughout day to day work
  • Flexible to provide support as and when required


  • Previous EA experience, preferably supporting at CEO or C-suite level
  • Fluency in at least one other European language
  • Financial services sector work experience
  • Some European travel is required
